When soil becomes compacted, due to numerous factors such as age and soil type, water, nitrogen, and oxygen are blocked from your lawn's root system. Without these essential nutrients, the root system becomes suffocated and stunted. By removing 'plugs' of the lawn, the soil is able to expand, and the roots are able to breathe. Now that the root system is able to access the things it needs, your grass goes back to its healthy growth cycle, resulting in strong roots and healthy grass. In addition to the aeration, overseeding can help kickstart the visual appeal of the lawn, by filling in the patchiness quicker than waiting on your grass alone to grow back in.

50% Kentucky Bluegrass
Kentucky Bluegrass is ideal for our Indiana climate and is exceptionally hardy in the winter. The species itself is lush and durable, suitable for high-traction lawns. With medium to fine strands, this grass is also comfortable on bare feet. The best feature of this species is that the growth rate slows throughout the summer, meaning less mowing maintenance, and more time spent enjoying your lawn.
50% Rye
With a fast germination period, this grass aids in quick results for the visual appearance of your lawn. While Kentucky Bluegrass takes 14-30 days to fill in, Rye Grass provides quicker results at just 7-14 days. While your aeration/overseeding aids in the strength of your lawn, the Rye Grass fills in the gaps and stability of the lawn.
